Education: Lane community College Massage program. Various exciting continuing education classes in kinesiology, the nervous system, anatomy, pathology, and much more.

Specialties or Training:Gentle therapeutic bodywork. It’s a blend of my own work mixed with myofascial release, cranial work, light trigger points, connective tissue mobility, and it’s deeply relaxing to the nervous system. Great for relief after motor vehicle accidents.

Favorite Massage Modalities: I do a unique modality I’ve created. I call it Gentle Therapeutic bodywork. It’s a different approach to massage. I use a series of holds and light trigger points to help loosen muscles at attachment points and stuck areas. It creates a feeling of space and greater mobility in areas you feel bound up. My focus is freeing up trapped nerves and connective tissue to help you get out of pain and have better range of motion.

Philosophy on Healing: My goal is to meet you where you’re at without judgement. I don’t expect one session to undo a lifetime of aches, injury, and pain. It can however be a wonderful step to reducing the impact and improving your quality of life. Your body is capable of healing itself. You are the one doing the work. I’m just here to facilitate by showing your body where it’s holding the tension. I don’t believe in the idea of “No pain, no gain”. I have created techniques that make it so I don’t need to dig in deep causing pain and inflammation that ends up crushes nerves.

My touch is medium to light, but the impact is deep and ongoing. So my philosophy is that it doesn’t have to hurt to help.

Exceptional Results:

I have a client that could no longer cut up their own food or lift a tray from the oven. They dropped things, and couldn’t open jars.

They had gone to many places looking for help, but often ended up bruised and unable to work from the treatments. This client has multiple health issues including fibromyalgia. So deep work was just too painful and caused bad flare ups.

We made a plan and I discovered they had a number of adhesions and trigger points in their hands, forearms, shoulders, and chest that were impinging on nerves.

Through our work together and occasional maintenance massages, the problem is  resolved.
