Philosophy on Healing:
The healing journey is a partnership between the one healing and anyone or anything they choose to incorporate on their journey. A really good session isn’t passive on the part of the client – it works best when we believe in the work, allow it in, breathe, and release. I love working with clients who are ready to drop their concepts of healing and see what’s truly possible for them. The slow style of Myofascial Release I practice involves helping the client into a state where their body’s natural healing mechanisms are engaged. In contrast, Hawaiian Lomilomi is so engaging and movement-oriented that it flows and lulls the client into the same place through a different method. Over the years I’ve enjoyed crafting a hybrid of these two different but complementary modalities that is deeply healing and suitable for every body.
Exceptional Results:
I began working with a 75-year-old sedentary client who had been referred by her chiropractor after getting a second opinion about a hip replacement. Through bi-weekly sessions over the course of a few years, she avoided the surgery and was able to return to a more active lifestyle, sometimes even experiencing completely pain-free periods. Along with this, she learned a great deal about her body and how best to support her journey.
